Kinja'd!!!2 Kinja'd!!! 16

This day has not started in the best way.

Kinja'd!!!

First, I had a really vivid dream that I went to court wearing shorts and a casual, white button down shirt with a giant ketchup stain on the front. Most of the dream was me trying to talk the clerk and baliff into letting me appear despite rules of court requiring coat and tie.

Kinja'd!!!

I went out to the carport to look forlornly at my missing cars and borked Vespa. Then I saw the little guy at the top of this post parked under my tire. There is a mockingbird shrieking in a tree in that area right now, which means they probably shoved this baby out of its nest and took over the nest. Mockingbirds are assholes and it is what they do. I am going to move it out of the way of the wheel with a broom, but it is doomed. Its parents have been evicted, and a kitty will be by before too long. Nature is rough.

In all fairness, blue jays are kind of assjoles too.

My dream is always that I can still just make it to my gig if I could only find my tux pants/jacket/shirt.

I mean.. You could nurse it for a little bit or call some one that would. You don’t have to feed the cats if it bothers you.

My work shirt selfie for today:

Working from home takes a boatload of discipline, but at least if I want to yell or rant about a coworker, I can do it with impunity.

My neighbor just adopted a fawn after he was convinced the mom wasn’t coming back. Maybe you could chew up some worms and help out.

The hardest part of working from home is not grazing all day. The kitchen is just too close

This may sound gruesome, but the humane thing to do is decapitate it with a shovel. There is no way to nurse it, and any other options mean a painful death.

Nature is an asshole like watching the planet earth documentary and the baby whales going through false pass in Alaska and the orcas pouncing on them.

The struggle is real!

I’m down 12lbs and ~2% bodyfat (past 6 months) after falling into the FREE FOOD EVERYWHERE trap. I’m trying to redirect that sense of convenience toward stepping out into my garage and lifting weights or going for a jog instead. Easier said than done.

I’ve hand reared wild chicks and although it isn’t easy it’s doable, you can get a egg food from any good pet shop and hand feed it between your fingers.

Make it into a nice paste and he’ll love it, let me know if you want any tips (:

Oh man, the lawyer I used to work for basically lived out your dream. The only time he ever on TV happened to be the day he appeared in court wearing jeans, boots, a long sleeve casual shirt and fleece vest. He wasn’t happy about that.

For a time we represented a some folks that were in a bigly, high-profile and very political pile of criminal dog doo (This was not what he did as a lawyer, but circumstances happened that some folks really needed a lawyer and he was the one they knew from other, completely unrelated civil stuff). The DA was playing games for political reasons and wanted this guy to be paraded before the news cameras in a jump suit and stand there looking forlorn while the judge read out charges against him and he muttered responses. Despite everyone involved knowing we represented the client and had been entered on the case, somehow the DA and recently appointed judge who was a long-time personal friend of the DA’s managed to arrange transport with the jail and inform the local news media of his arraignment, but not notice the lawyer representing him in the case. We found out about the arraignment when I read a breaking news article about it online and called the boss to let him know the client was being arraigned in about 15 minutes. He had to abandon his cart of stuff in a store and break many traffic laws getting to court. I hear tell the DA went damn near ballistic when the news coverage was a fifteen second spot of a lawyer in blue jeans and not a drawn- out lead story of a politician defendant looking guilty in jump suit.

I guess it fit well with the later trend of related defendants magically having news trucks show up outside their houses or offices about two minutes before the state police showed up to serve sealed arrest warrants.

This wouldn’t be the last time in that case in which we only learned about client’s hearings by reading the news...
